Air Filtration & Air Cleaners

HVAC filter replacement and HEPA, media and electronic air cleaners installed and serviced for homes across Fort Bend County.

Air filtration captures dust, pollen, pet dander and other particles as air passes through your HVAC system. Upgrading from a basic filter to a whole-home air cleaner — HEPA, media or electronic — lets your system catch more of what circulates through the house. Lazarine AC handles HVAC filter replacement and installs and services all three types of air cleaners for homes across Fort Bend County.

Types of whole-home air cleaners

  • Media air cleaners use a deep, pleated filter in a dedicated cabinet. The extra surface area lets them capture fine particles while still letting air flow.
  • HEPA air cleaners use high-efficiency particulate filters, typically in a bypass unit connected to your ductwork, for households that want the highest level of filtration.
  • Electronic air cleaners use an electrical charge to collect particles on plates or cells that are cleaned periodically instead of thrown away.
  • Standard filter replacement keeps any system breathing properly. A clogged filter restricts airflow and makes your equipment work harder.

Not sure what filter ratings mean? Our guide to MERV filter ratings explains how to balance filtration against airflow.

Signs your filtration needs an upgrade

  • Dust builds up quickly on furniture and around supply vents.
  • Allergy or asthma symptoms flare up indoors.
  • Your filter looks gray and clogged well before its scheduled change.
  • You have pets, ongoing renovation dust or a household member sensitive to airborne particles.

In Fort Bend County, air conditioners run for much of the year, so your filter handles a large volume of air. Filtration that fits your system matters here.

How Lazarine AC helps

A higher-efficiency filter is only an upgrade if your system can move air through it, so the right air cleaner depends on your equipment and ductwork. Working with us means:

  • A free written estimate before any installation, so you know the scope and price up front.
  • Work by a Texas-licensed contractor (HVAC license 60717E and electrical license 17283).
  • Payment options for larger upgrades — see financing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still Have Questions?
What is the difference between HEPA, media and electronic air cleaners?
Media air cleaners use a deep pleated filter, HEPA air cleaners use high-efficiency particulate filters, and electronic air cleaners collect particles with an electrical charge on washable cells. Each suits a different system and household.
Can I just put a higher-MERV filter in my current slot?
Sometimes, but a denser filter can restrict airflow if your system was not designed for it. That is why the equipment should be checked before upgrading.
How often should my HVAC filter be changed?
It depends on the filter type and your household. Standard one-inch filters generally need changing far more often than deep media filters, and homes with pets or heavy dust need more frequent changes.
