Lazarine AC is ready to diagnose and resolve your air conditioning issues across the Houston Metro, ensuring your comfort is restored.

When the heavy, stagnant air hits you the moment you walk through your front door, it's more than just uncomfortable; it's a sign your home's most critical system is failing. We understand the unique demands the Houston Metro climate places on your air conditioning. Our experienced technicians are on standby to bring reliable, efficient cooling back to your home, from urgent repairs to full system overhauls.

AC Repair & Service

When your AC unit starts acting up, it's rarely a minor inconvenience in the Houston Metro heat; it's a full-blown emergency for your comfort and budget. We get calls every day about systems that are blowing warm air, making strange noises, or simply refusing to turn on. Often, these are symptoms of core mechanical failures like a failing compressor, a seized fan motor, or a refrigerant leak. A clogged condensate drain line, a common issue in our humid environment, can also shut down a unit by triggering the float switch.

Our diagnostic process starts with a thorough inspection of the entire system – from the thermostat to the outdoor condenser and indoor evaporator coil. We'll check refrigerant levels, electrical connections, capacitor health, and airflow. Nine times out of ten, when we see a unit struggling to cool or making an unusual grinding sound, it points to a motor issue or a failing run capacitor, which can often be replaced relatively quickly. Catching these problems early, before they cascade into more severe component failures, can literally be the difference between a few hundred dollars for a part and several thousand for a full system replacement, sometimes leading to an AC Installation & Replacement instead. Our goal is always to identify the root cause, not just treat the symptom, ensuring a reliable repair.

Common AC Repair Symptoms:

* AC blowing warm air * Strange grinding, hissing, or banging noises * Unit won't turn on or constantly cycles * High indoor humidity despite AC running * Water leaking around the indoor unit * Unexplained spikes in your energy bill

When your system is acting up, don't wait for a complete breakdown. Early intervention can save you time, money, and a lot of discomfort. We'll give you an honest assessment and a clear path forward, whether it's a simple fix or a more involved AC Repair & Service. If your AC needs a quick repair or a full system swap, our AC Repair & Service team handles every call across Houston Metro.

AC Installation & Replacement

The decision to install a new AC system or replace an aging one is significant, especially in the Houston Metro where air conditioning isn't a luxury, it's a necessity. We often see homeowners struggling with older units that are constantly breaking down, consuming excessive energy, or simply can't keep their homes consistently cool anymore. This isn't just about comfort; it's about efficiency and long-term cost savings. An improperly sized or inefficient unit can lead to hot spots, high humidity, and exorbitant utility bills.

Our installation process begins with a detailed assessment of your home's specific cooling load, considering factors like square footage, insulation, window efficiency, and even ceiling height. We don't just swap out units; we ensure the new system is perfectly matched to your home's unique requirements, optimizing for both comfort and energy efficiency (SEER2 rating). This often involves evaluating and sometimes modifying existing ductwork to ensure proper airflow and distribution. We handle everything from the careful removal of your old unit to the precise installation of the new condenser, evaporator coil, and line sets, ensuring all electrical connections and refrigerant charges meet manufacturer specifications for peak performance and longevity. Regular AC Maintenance & Tune-Up after installation is key to protecting your investment.

Signs You Need a New AC System:

* Your unit is 10-15 years old or older * You're facing frequent, costly AC Repair & Service calls * Energy bills are consistently high * Your home has uneven cooling or persistent hot spots * Your system uses R-22 refrigerant (phasing out) * Excessive humidity despite the AC running

Choosing the right system and having it installed correctly is paramount. We walk you through the options, explaining the pros and cons of different models and technologies. Explore our complete AC Installation & Replacement coverage to see how we approach planned upgrades.

AC Maintenance & Tune-Up

Preventative maintenance is the bedrock of a reliable AC system, particularly in the demanding Houston Metro climate. Without regular tune-ups, even the most robust units will gradually lose efficiency, experience more frequent breakdowns, and shorten their lifespan. Common issues we identify during maintenance visits include dirty evaporator and condenser coils, which restrict heat transfer and force the compressor to work harder, or clogged condensate drain lines that can lead to water damage and system shutdowns. We also frequently find loose electrical connections, low refrigerant levels due to minor leaks, or worn fan belts that reduce airflow.

A professional AC tune-up involves a comprehensive multi-point inspection and cleaning. We'll clean the condenser coils, check and clear the condensate drain, inspect all electrical components for wear, measure refrigerant pressure, and lubricate moving parts. We also verify thermostat calibration and ensure proper airflow. This proactive approach allows us to catch minor issues, like a slightly low refrigerant charge or a weakening capacitor, before they escalate into costly AC Repair & Service. It’s also a great time for an AC Inspection & Testing to get a full health report. Think of it as an annual physical for your AC system – it keeps it running efficiently, extends its life, and helps you avoid unexpected breakdowns when you need it most.

What Our AC Tune-Up Includes:

* Cleaning of condenser and evaporator coils * Inspection and clearing of condensate drain line * Checking refrigerant levels and pressure * Tightening electrical connections and testing components * Lubricating moving parts (motors, fans) * Checking thermostat calibration and operation * Inspecting air filters and ductwork for proper airflow * Assessing overall system performance and efficiency

Investing in regular maintenance is an investment in your comfort and your wallet. It ensures your system is ready to tackle the brutal Texas heat, year after year. Lock in proactive care with our AC Maintenance & Tune-Up program.

AC Inspection & Testing

Whether you're buying a new home in the Houston Metro, selling one, or simply want a detailed report on your current AC system's health, a thorough inspection and testing can provide invaluable peace of mind. Many homeowners only call for an inspection when they suspect a problem, but it's also a critical step for understanding the true condition of an AC unit, especially before a major purchase. We often uncover hidden issues like undersized ductwork, refrigerant leaks not visible to the naked eye, or aging components that are on the verge of failure. Without a detailed inspection, these problems can become expensive surprises down the line, potentially leading to immediate AC Repair & Service.

Our AC inspection and testing service goes beyond a basic visual check. We perform diagnostic tests that measure airflow, temperature differentials, refrigerant pressures, and electrical draw. We use specialized tools to detect leaks, assess compressor efficiency, and evaluate the overall integrity of the system, including ductwork. This detailed analysis provides a clear picture of the unit's current performance, projected lifespan, and any potential issues that need addressing. For new homeowners, it's a crucial step to ensure their investment is protected; for existing homeowners, it's a proactive way to budget for future needs and optimize current performance, often complementing an AC Maintenance & Tune-Up.

Key Areas We Inspect:

* Refrigerant charge and pressure * Electrical components and wiring * Compressor and fan motor operation * Temperature differential across coils * Airflow through ductwork * Condensate drain integrity * Thermostat accuracy * Overall system safety and efficiency

Don't guess about the health of your cooling system. A professional inspection gives you the facts. Compare your equipment against our AC Inspection & Testing checklist before peak season.
